11 questions to... femtastics

We've stumbled across the great femtastics magazine many times. So it's high time to bombard the three power women aka founders with our 11 questions. What came out, what you can expect from femtastics and what makes their work unique? Read for yourself:

01. Who are you and what do you do, where?

Anna, Katharina & Lisa: We are journalists and the founders of femtastics.com, the online magazine for girl power from Hamburg. We portray inspiring women, from lawyers to activists to designers, from Hamburg to London - in home and work stories we present their different lifestyles. On top you will find news, trends and our own jewelry collection with us. In the background we also founded Tastics Media, an agency for creative content, social media consulting and conception.

02. What did you want to be when you were little and why?

Anna: I wanted to become an artist - with an easel, canvas and brushes. I always liked to paint and draw.

Lisa: Doctor, I have a classic helper syndrome. Have "unfortunately" only made it to the second semester.

Katha: First a veterinarian, then an interior designer and finally a journalist. Animal love and creativity - always two big themes in my life.

"I love that we can express ourselves creatively, that every working day is different and that we work so well as a team."

03. What do you like about your work or what makes it special?

Anna: I love that we can be creative, that every working day is different and that we work so well as a team.

Lisa: First of all, I like being my own boss, I have my problems with authorities. Then, besides the team, it's the many great women we get to meet who give us an insight into their lives.

Katha: The complexity of my job, my great team and the unlimited possibilities you have as your own boss and founder.

04. ...and what not at all?

Anna: ...there is nothing I don't like at all about my work. :)

Lisa: Sometimes I don't know what the smaller devil is: masses of emails or nonstop calls?

05. What is your most important work utensil

Anna: My Macbook (it's actually almost 10 years old)

Lisa: It could be that I would become extremely restless if I forgot my electronic cigarette at home.

Katha: Boring, but: WLAN!

06. What is the nicest thing about your workplace?

The team and Feel-Good-Manager Helle (our office dog).

07. Where do you get your (post) ideas? What inspires you?

Anna: There are so many inspiring, great people out there - I'm always happy to make new acquaintances and introduce these people and their work.

Lisa: I try to make sure that I also include political or social topics in femtastics by using appropriate interviewees. I'm inspired by activists of all stripes!

Katha: Everywhere - from friends to Instagram. I find zeitgeist topics particularly exciting - from founders of affordable interior services to packaging-free supermarkets.

08. What went really wrong in the last few months?

Anna: The summer in Hamburg.

Lisa: I booked a very late train without a flexible ticket on one of the hottest days this year at a job in Berlin that I finished relatively quickly and almost didn't make it to the open-air pool in Hamburg!

Katha: The universe means it just very well! Since I finally found my dream apartment in Hamburg after two and a half years, I won't complain!

09. What is your next goal? What projects do you have coming up?

We have some very exciting new projects coming up that we can tell you more about soon. We are also looking for a new, larger office. We hope to move this year.
