Bauhaus inspired carpet collection by Daria Zinovatnaya for GAN

Same but different
A first collaboration between GAN and Ukrainian designer Daria Zinovatnaya produced the carpet collection Zoe. For the two designs Kubb and Sool, Zinovatnaya drew inspiration from Russian Suprematism and Bauhaus. This can be clearly seen in the two rugs: they are characterized by strict geometric shapes and rich colors, which are by no means chaotic, but in harmonious balance with each other.

Textures also play in an important role in the collection. The hand-knotted rug Kubb features a soft surface that creates warmth and coziness. Sool, on the other hand, was designed as a kilim and is characterized by its woven, flat and light appearance. as
