Dinner under palm trees

Flamingos, walnut, palm trees - architect and interior designer Fabio Fantolino brings strong Miami vibes to Turin's old town with "Barca's."

A touch of 1970s West Coast: with "Barca's" restaurant, Fantolino's latest interior design concept opens its doors, inviting dinners and drinks with views of the past - and lush palm landscapes.

Generously sized windows overlooking the streets of the historic Borgo Nuovo district make the rooms of the early 19th-century building bright and inviting. The light falls on three floors in different shades of white, where Fantolino developed artistic color and material arrangements: Casa Milano's "Lea Chairs" on the intimate lounge floor on the lowest floor, Arrmet's "Strike" stools at the bar. You sit on sea-blue velvet, green cotton twill or hazel Alcantara and look up the wall at wallpaper panels framed by American walnut with blue palm trees.

With the choice of textiles, colors and geometric shapes, Fantolino brings to life the warm and relaxed atmosphere of the American West Coast, placing "Barca's" in a distinctly colorful œuvre - after all, its motto is (loosely translated): Architecture and design and everything in between. And the cuisine at "Barca's"? Completely classic Italian - there is no need for any more wild experiments. How To Avoid Hitting Utility Lines When Digging In Your Yard
