Living like the Neutras
"Put man in a connection with nature; that's where he developed and that's where he feels especially at home," Viennese architect Richard Neutra once said. He was researching a greener way of designing, which he called "biorealism."

Dion and Richard Neutra

Borrowing from his own 1932 Los Angeles home, the VDL Research House, Spanish furniture maker Kettal - together with his son Dion Neutra - has developed a garden house. Like its large, modernist model, the 12-by-4-meter VDL Pavilion is a geometric, transparent metal structure in which interior and exterior spaces literally merge.

Original construction methods and materials have been adopted, but with mass production comes contemporary features and personalized characteristics. Home automation is controlled by app. Different sized slats (electric on request) are available for the sides and there are 30 original colors to choose from for the aluminum. ncm
