A table, it has six corners .
Pencils have a hexagonal cross-section - so they fit well in the hand and do not roll off the table. Luis Nascimento transfers this shape to a side table and scales Pencil by several factors in size. The fact that the table nevertheless does not become a heavyweight is due to the material: Nascimento developed the collection, which also includes Pencil, in collaboration with the Portuguese cork specialist Sofalca. The small seating furniture is made of a dark, smoked version; a second version is faced with light cork on the six cut sides, and the contrast emphasizes the design. With a height of 40, 50, or 60 centimeters, the product family consists of three tables that - should they ever fall over - will land safely on one of their sides. tp
