Virtual offer with interviews and guidance

Rarely has greenery close to settlements been as important to us as it was last year: with the pandemic, parks and squares became places of refuge and meeting places in urban spaces. The German Museum of Architecture DAM in Frankfurt is dedicating an exhibition to urban green spaces, focusing on the benefits, questioning challenges, and presenting current projects and future developments around the world. Can green in architecture improve the climate and reduce both particulate matter and heat? Does it help increase people's well-being? The exhibition Simply Green calls for urban landscapes to be upgraded - and goes digital to do so. Because the opening was actually scheduled for January 23, due to the current situation, guided tours and events took place as video broadcasts, which can still be accessed afterwards. The reopening is scheduled for March, and in the meantime green architects and activists can also submit projects, which will be located with images on an interactive map. tp
